LanGeek App 8.0 is here, and this update brings several important improvements to the way users learn vocabulary, practice grammar, read texts, and study languages on mobile.

Before introducing the new features, we are also excited to share an important milestone: the LanGeek mobile app has now passed 500,000 downloads on Google Play.

This is an important step for us and a sign that more learners around the world are using LanGeek as part of their daily language learning routine. With version 8.0, we have focused on making the app more useful, more flexible, and easier to use in different learning situations.

What’s New in LanGeek App 8.0?

Version 8.0 includes new learning tools, expanded content, and improvements to existing sections of the app. Here are the most important changes.

Hands-Free Mode for Vocabulary Learning

One of the main features introduced in LanGeek App 8.0 is Hands-Free Mode.

This feature is designed for users who want to review vocabulary without constantly looking at the screen or interacting with the app. It is especially useful when walking, commuting, exercising, or doing other activities where screen-based learning is not convenient.

In each vocabulary word list, users can now find a Hands-Free Mode button. After turning it on, the app automatically reads the words and their meanings aloud one after another.

Depending on the user’s settings, the app can read:

  • the word and its definition
  • the word and its translation
  • example sentences for the word

Users can also adjust the experience by changing the reading speed or adding repetition, so each word can be read more than once.

Hands-Free Mode is also available in flashcards. In this mode, the app reads the word first, gives the learner a few seconds to remember the meaning, then reads the meaning and moves to the next word.

This makes vocabulary review easier and more flexible, especially for learners who want to practice by listening.

More Content for French, German, and Spanish

LanGeek 8.0 also brings a major content update for French, German, and Spanish.

These languages now include much more than vocabulary. Grammar, reading, and pronunciation sections are now available, with hundreds of lessons added across different skills.

The vocabulary section has also been expanded with more word lists and learning material, helping users build a stronger foundation in their target language.

With these updates, LanGeek is becoming a more complete learning platform for multiple languages, not just English.

Improved Idiom Translations

Idioms can be difficult to translate because their meaning is often different from the literal meaning of the individual words.

Based on user feedback, we have updated the translation system for idioms. Instead of focusing on word-by-word translation, the app now gives translations that better reflect the real meaning of each idiom.

The example sentences in the idiom section have also been improved, making it easier for learners to understand how each idiom is used in context.

This update helps make idioms clearer, more accurate, and more useful for real communication.

Grammatical Forms Exercises for Words

LanGeek App 8.0 also adds a new type of vocabulary practice: grammatical forms exercises.

These exercises help users practice important grammatical information related to words. Depending on the language and the word type, this may include:

  • noun gender in French, German, and Spanish
  • verb conjugated forms
  • plural forms in German
  • other important word forms and grammatical properties

These details are important for using words correctly, but learners often do not get enough focused practice with them. This new exercise type helps users review and remember these forms more actively.

Key Vocabulary in Reading Lessons

The Key Vocabulary feature is now available in the mobile app.

In reading lessons, users can see a list of important words from each passage. These words can be studied like a normal vocabulary list, helping learners prepare before reading or review useful words afterward.

This feature connects reading and vocabulary learning more closely. Learners can improve their reading comprehension while also building vocabulary from real context.

A Better Learning Experience on Mobile

LanGeek App 8.0 is a major update focused on making language learning more flexible and practical.

With Hands-Free Mode, users can learn vocabulary by listening. With expanded content, learners have access to more lessons in French, German, and Spanish. With improved idiom translations, grammatical forms exercises, and key vocabulary in reading lessons, the app now offers more ways to practice and understand language in context.

We want to thank all LanGeek users for their support, feedback, and suggestions. Passing 500,000 downloads on Google Play is an exciting milestone, and we are continuing to improve the app with every update.

Update LanGeek App now and try the new features in version 8.0.
