The Langeek Picture Dictionary launched in 2022 as a key part of the Langeek learning platform. Since then, it has grown into a valuable resource for learners around the globe. Here are some key statistics:

• Word Family Tree: Provides a comprehensive view of words belonging to the same etymological family, illustrating their connections and development through inflections or affixes.
• Sharable Cards: Offers detailed, visually appealing cards that contain all the necessary information about a word, making it easy to share and study.
• Multiple Examples: Includes various contextual examples for each meaning of a word, helping to deepen understanding.
• Full Integration: Ensures that all dictionary entries are seamlessly integrated with Langeek’s vocabulary learning features, enhancing the overall learning experience.

Upcoming Features

We are not stopping here, and there is much more to be added to the Langeek Dictionary. Here are some features we are working on that will be released soon:

• Smart Lookup: In a few days, we will roll out the new “Smart Lookup” feature across the platform. This tool will allow users to see the meaning and grammatical information of each word or compound structure in our examples, and soon, on word definitions and descriptions as well. This feature will help users learn new words as they navigate the platform.
• Verb Usage Guide: This feature will show users the grammatical patterns of each sense of a verb. For example, for the verb “smother”:
  1. to smother something
  2. to smother someone
  3. to smother a feeling or action
  4. to smother a fire

  Each pattern illustrates different contexts and meanings. Currently, hundreds of verbs are ready to be published.

• Pronunciation Guide: Responding to user feedback, we are developing an innovative pronunciation guide. This feature will provide a clear representation of how words are pronounced and alert learners to tricky pronunciations or spellings.
• Much More Content: We continually add thousands of new examples and dozens of new entries to our dictionary each month. Over time, even more details about each word will be available.
