At LanGeek, we’re committed to delivering a seamless and rewarding language learning experience. However, we understand that there may be occasions when a refund is necessary. The following policy outlines when and how refunds can be requested, along with details about processing and eligibility.


1. Refund Eligibility Period

  • 7-Day Full Refund (No Questions Asked):
    Users are eligible for a full refund within the first seven (7) days of their initial purchase, regardless of the reason.

  • Technical Issues (Extended Refund Period):
    If a user experiences a legitimate technical or functional issue caused by LanGeek that significantly affects their ability to use the platform, they may request a refund within three (3) months of the purchase date.

    • Users must first contact our support team and allow up to two (2) weeks for us to resolve the issue before a refund becomes eligible.

    • This applies only to problems directly caused by LanGeek’s systems. Issues resulting from third-party platforms, app store glitches, or device incompatibility are not eligible.

  • Lifetime Plan Refunds:
    Lifetime Plan purchases are eligible for a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase but are not refundable afterward.


2. Payment and Refund Method

All payments and refunds are processed through trusted third-party payment partners:

  • Paddle – for purchases made directly on the LanGeek website

  • Google Play and Apple App Store – for mobile app purchases

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method and account used for the purchase.
LanGeek cannot issue refunds through alternative channels or to different payment accounts.


3. Taxes and Fees

Taxes are automatically calculated and managed by the third-party payment processor based on the user’s country of residence.
Please note that regional tax or processing fees are governed by those platforms’ own refund policies and may not always be refundable.


4. Data Retention After Refund

After a full refund is issued, LanGeek reserves the right to delete premium-exclusive data — including personal wordlists, learning progress, and statistics — associated with the refunded purchase.
This ensures system integrity and prevents abuse.
The user’s main account and all free features remain active.


5. Partial Refunds

LanGeek does not offer partial refunds. All approved refunds are processed in full.


6. Cancellation Policy

  • Website Purchases:
    Users can manage or cancel their subscription at any time through the Billing page in their account settings.
    A detailed, step-by-step guide on how to unsubscribe is available in our Help Center.

  • App Store Purchases:
    Subscriptions made through Google Play or the Apple App Store must be canceled according to the respective store’s policies.

  • Access After Cancellation:
    Canceling a subscription does not immediately end premium access. Users retain all premium benefits until the end of the current billing cycle.


7. Support and Processing Time

Our support team reviews and responds to all refund requests within 72 hours.
Approved refunds are typically processed within two (2) working weeks, though exact timing may vary depending on the payment provider.
